Protest marches on Market Street in downtown SF are fairly common and happen for many reasons. Protests have been held against the Olympic Torch relay (because of China's human rights policies), Proposition 8 which eliminated same-sex marriage in CA, the war in Iraq, and poor treatment of union workers.

I never heard of an arphid cloner, or if this was really possible so I did a bit of research on it. It turns out that this is possible! However, arphids usually do not contain personal information such as a persons name, they contain an account number that is associated to a person in a "secure" database, which is all that a hacker needs. This article proves that the idea presented in this paragraph is possible. Very scary!

What Marcus is suggesting could be termed "ethical hacking," a seeming oxymoron that more and more people are embracing as a form of "hacktivism" (or "hactivism") against perceived societal wrongs. For a primer on ethical hacking, go to http://media.wiley.com/product_data/excerpt/73/07821443/0782144373.pdf
